Anyone’s first day at work is remarkable. It was fun to me. But it was more fun, enjoyable and memorable during the time that I was assigned to work on a graveyard shift.
We all went up that night to our respective places wearing our smack, cap and handgloves. I was assigned as an operator in an electronic company, mounting a very tiny die on a strip. I was using a microscope and a tweezer. I run the strip on a very hot steel and mount the die until it sticks to the strip. The die needs to be mounted on a ½" x ½" strip and we have to produce them in thousands. I enjoyed working as we were all females and mostly working students.
The bell rang like in school. It’s time for dinner break. We all went down to the cafeteria where our lockers were also located. I was not given a locker yet as I need to pass the probationary period as a requirement. At that time, I placed my purse on top of lockers. When I began to look for my purse, I can’t find it. I became uneasy and began to panic and loudly said "my purse is gone, my purse is gone!"
My co-workers came and helped me find my purse as I described it to be a tiny gold purse made of fur and the size is about 5" x 5". They can’t find it neither. I further looked around. I recalled that the purse had a chess pawn chain attached to the zipper. I stood on a chair and browse further. I saw a huge bag full of beads and the chess pawn chain was hanging while my tiny purse was inside the bag. I shouted "there is my purse inside another’s purse"! =)
